| In 1997, Ben Benfield conceived and implemented the idea of a sister chapter between the Georgia Chapter, USA of MPI (Meeting Professionals International) and MPI Germany Chapter, which led to many new friends and colleagues between the two countries. One of these colleagues, Henrike Nordmann, a planner with the Bertelsmann AG in Guetesloh, Germany, came to the United States for a month to experience meeting planning in this country. Here are some excerpts from an article she wrote about her experiences.
